WFDA is engaging in a variety of activities to promote democratization in Asia, guided by our founding document, the
Taipei Declaration, and the current
Framework for Action. Efforts concentrate on strengthening networks and mutual solidarity among the many organizations and advocates already active in the Asian region. The aim is to find synergies and common positions, rather than duplicate efforts.
WFDA holds our own networking events, centered on Biennial Conferences, which adopt the Framework for Action for each two-year period. In order to deepen the consultation process, a series of workshops are held before each Biennial to discuss strategies. To date, these activities have included:
